About Me
Hi, I am a proactive and persistent software developer originally from Sweden, now based in Helsinki, Finland. My journey in the tech industry started at Hive Helsinki coding school, known for its unique peer-learning approach and rigorous curriculum, where I diligently honed my skills in logical thinking and adaptability in facing challenges.
Starting with a foundation in Unix and C programming, I've since rapidly expanded my skillset to include JavaScript and React, applying these skills in my current projects. Additionally, I'm exploring the underlying technologies of Bitcoin through Python, further demonstrating my adaptability to new languages and tools. Moreover, my experiences in peer-to-peer learning have developed my collaborative skills, enabling me to effectively work in diverse teams and contribute to successful projects.
Beyond my technical skills, my constant curiosity and determination fuel my approach. My drive has propelled me into leadership roles at Hive Helsinki, notably when my peers entrusted me to steer a six-member team during an intensive four-month project—The Shell Creation Project (42sh). Our collaborative effort culminated in a robust shell interpreter, a testament to not only my depth of technical expertise but also my capacity as a leader to navigate team dynamics, overcome challenges, and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.
My dedication to collaboration and making a significant impact is enriched by my experiences as a youth worker and photographer in Sweden, where I developed more empathy, patience and understanding of diverse perspectives. This combination of technical skills and interpersonal understanding shapes my approach to software development.
My ultimate ambition is to leverage these proficiencies to become a team-member at any forward-thinking software development organization. Projects
Shell Creation Project (42sh): Collaborative development of a POSIX-compliant shell, 42sh, built from scratch in C, highlighting skills in Unix, system and network administration, and project management.
rantil.xyz: A resource-rich website providing a deep dive into Bitcoin's technical aspects, complemented by Python code snippets. This project showcases my skills in React, Bitcoin, Python, technical communication, and knowledge sharing.
Roger-Skyline-1: Establishment of a Linux server in a VM with secure configuration and automated tasks. Showcases skills in server setup, network administration, system security and Bash scripting.
ft_printf: Recreation of the printf function in C, showcasing command of low-level functions, memory management, and complex function creation.
Game of Life: Implementation of Conway's Game of Life with optimizations and a user-friendly interface. Highlights skills in algorithm optimization and GUI development.
ft_ls: Reverse-engineered the Unix 'ls' command and built a custom version in C. This project deepened my understanding of Unix file systems. Highlights skills in C programming, Unix systems, and memory management.
